EquiSorb is an all-natural, low dust, equine food supplement for the adsorption of toxins from the horse’s gastrointestinal tract, resulting in fewer problems such as colic and stomach ulcers and the prevention of gurgling, trapped wind and bloated stomachs. It can reduce windsucking and contribute to weight gain along with behavioural improvement. EquiSorb is also mildly alkaline and counteracts excess acid production.
 
EquiSorb uses coconut shell - based activated charcoal which is composed of micropores to aid in the removal of organic impurities from and throughout the entire alimentary canal. These micropores vastly increase the adsorptive surface area of the charcoal enabling it to remove any harmful chemicals that the horse may have ingested or developed from natural processes. The product is Food Codex certified and is an FEI safe and legal substance, guaranteed free from any drugs or contaminants.
 
Do not feed EquiSorb to the animal if it is taking prescription medication since this may render the medicine ineffective. Also, do not give to a horse with constipation problems.
 
One level, 20 ml scoop should be added to the horse’s feed twice daily. For ponies, this should be reduced to 1½ scoops twice daily and for foals 1 scoop twice daily. Once the horse’s condition is improved the dosage can be reduced to a maintenance rate of half the above stated quantities. The product is expelled naturally in the horse’s faeces.
